M-EXOS Micro Story #007 – 3 Owners

Training Happens… But Nothing Changes
I have seen this pattern in many factories.
Training programs are conducted.
People attend.
But on the shop floor… nothing really changes.
👤 The Strategic Owner 🔵
Approves training plans
Encourages skill development
Sees training as an HR activity, not an execution input
🔹 Owner 1: The System
Training calendar exists ✅
Sessions completed ✅
Certificates issued ✅
But no one checks:
👉 What actually changed in execution?
👤 The Watching Owner 🟢
Ensures attendance
Tracks who joined and who missed
Measures participation…but not application
🔹 Owner 2: The Team
Employees attend training
Listen carefully
Return to their roles
And continue work…the same way as before
👤 The Involved Owner 🟤
Occasionally conducts sessions personally
Pushes teams to take training seriously
But training remains:
👉 event-based
👉 separate from daily work
🔹 Owner 3: The Shop Floor
Real challenges exist: – quality issues– coordination gaps– process deviations
But training is not connected to these problems
❓ So why doesn’t training improve performance?
⚠️ The Reality
Because training is not part of the execution system
It is treated as:
👉 a scheduled activity
👉 a compliance requirement
👉 a one-time event
🔑 What’s Actually Missing?
👉 Link between training and actual work stages
👉 Ownership of skill application
👉 Measurement of improvement in execution
👉 Reinforcement in daily operations
✅ The M‑EXOS Shift
Execution improves when:
👉 Training is linked to real tasks and outputs
👉 Learning is applied immediately on the job
👉 Systems track change in execution, not attendance
Training does not create value.
Application creates value.
Don’t conduct training.
Design how learning becomes part of work.
